Many students do not know the first thing about how to take notes. I encuorage them to color code each paper with a dot based on the subject matter. This way if the paper falls out of their book they immediatedly know the folder it goes back into. I also encourage students to write their name, date and topic at the top of the page. This form can be used to teach students notetaking strategies
